kagandahan ng buhay November 18, 2005
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , 2commentseto share ko lang, kinwento ng prof namin sa natsci2: “what would you prefer, umulan ng tae o humangin ng utot?”
but let us not dwell on that, however lovely that thought may be. hay. kanina on my way home i saw the CUTEST thing.. in front of a 7-11 store below the Quezon Ave. MRT station, ang daming tao naka-gather around something, di ko pa makita nung una.. i got curious, so siyempre lapit naman ako.. dun sa may gilid there was this old man (kind of tired and old looking..) and instead of HIM doing the begging, he had a dog with a little cap and shades, biting a basket and a sign that said.. “donasyon para sa bulag”.. ang CUTE talaga pramis!! the old man was even smiling coz of all the attention the dog was getting. the people around were taking pictures of the soooo cute dog and one guy even took a video. it kinda livened up my day, which was a bit of a drag coz i was sleepy and gutom almost the entire time.
sa totoo lang, ayaw ko ng dogs. as in yung malalaking dogs na parang nakakatakot na ewan.. i’ve had only one dog ever since i was a kid, and he was given away to another home coz allergic yung kapatid ko.. pero i SUPER LOVE seeing cute puppies and playing with them and stuff.. takot pa rin (traumatized, really) pero okay lang basta ba super cute and playful.. =) hehe.. but i don’t really think i’m up to actually taking care of one and feeding it, bathing it and stuff.. haha! ako pa!! :)
oh yeah, nag-sign-up na ako sa isang org. it wasn’t the org i was planning to join initially pero okay na rin, basta meron na.. :) UP ICTUS. sana matuloy na ngayon. last sem kasi nagtamad-tamaran pa ako eh..=P i joined YFC din last sem and planned on some others pero yun nga di na natuloy.. hai. uneventful ang araw ko.. not that nothing happened, di lang ganun ka … special? haha! nag-food trip ako! haha! sampung pisong fishball, kwek kwek (eeeh..), saba con hielo sa CASAA (habang pinag-uusapan nila roger NANA.. eeew!!) haha! yun.. PEPSI MAX.. “DON’T WORI, THERE’S NO SUGAR…” hehehe.. :) yun na yun.. gushbay. atat na ko manood ng harry potter! naririnig ko na si harry tinatawag ako!! mayee mayee! panuorin mo na ako!! hahahaha! ohwel. i shall tomorrow..=)
A Short Long Trip November 16, 2005
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble, Old Imported Entries , add a commentshowing na harry potter, people!! but damned father time has not allowed me to see the magic of cinema that is harry potter and the goblet of fire.
anyway. just an hour ago i got back from a very short long trip. yes, a short long trip. i was in bad need of a book for philo 11 today, and it wasn’t until late afternoon that my mom called me up and reported the results of her inquiries to national bookstore and goodwill bookstore. apparently, the last 2 available copies (oo, as in dalawa na lang!!) were in Goodwill bookstore, MEGAMALL. grabe, heavy na ‘to. so around 6:30 when she arrived, we left immediately for Megamall. Hai. (I even got car sick..=P) we got there, dashed over to BLDG B, which i had no idea where in hell it was located.., then went inside goodwill, got the book, paid for it, and went home. yeah, my venture to megamall was a short one. and to think it’s only the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve ever been to that place in my life…
hehe.
It’s kinda late already, and I still have a Kasaysayan assignment to do.. but I just thought I’d blog first. Homework’s boring, if you haven’t noticed..
hehe. And anyway.. the topic of the essay is “Sino Ka?” That’s a piece of cake.. I love my Kas1 class.. it’s fun.. although i have yet to make many friends… (yahoo groups: balanghay_pangkasaysayan@yahoogroups.com) the prof’s real fun… (the one that pulled that stunt with impersonating a student..
)
so yeah, i’m looking forward to tomorrow. joelle and i have got some unfinished business with mr.features. i can’t wait to know what’s gonna happen.. hehe =) so okay, goodnight.

On New Habits and Holidays November 16, 2005
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble, Old Imported Entries , 1 comment so farhai. after a very long time of being “internet-less” at home.. eto na. so old habits are becoming new ones. why is it that i could spend SO many hours over the internet and not really be doing anything.. just clicking away to wherever the net takes me.. which is good sometimes, i get to see stuff, read stuff, makakalap ng impormasyon.. but then again sometimes it’s all chat and not really important stuff. whatever.
pasok nanaman tomorrow. not that i’m fearing it or anything, it’s just the waking up early and the hassle of commuting that gets me ticked. but all else is good, keeps me living. =)
christmas is just a few more weeks away. i’m not that eager about it though, (not a good thing) coz of some reason i can’t seem to put my finger on. it’s like it has become one of those childhood things that i’ve outgrown. i don’t really care much for gifts and all that jazz anymore. last christmas, we didn’t really celebrate that much. just a family dinner (the usual) then off to bed. di kami masyadong bongga when it comes to traditional holidays and events. even new year’s a bummer sometimes. i don’t even have that class christmas party to look forward to anymore.. that’s long gone. but still, that faint cheeriness is still tagging along.. and it’s kinda enough to keep the holiday special for me (i guess) blah…=P
i just realized something.. i haven’t read a book in SO long. (novel, i mean). the last book i read was harry potter & the half-blood prince. that was kind of a long time ago. parang na-bore bigla ako sa pagbabasa. it really used to me my main pasttime..=P i had my mind set on reading some new stuff.. like dan brown’s other novels.. but i just can’t seem to find the time anymore nowadays.. there’s always stuff to do.. and NOT do. hehe. ohwel.

Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble, Old Imported Entries , add a commentnormally on a week day i’d be rambling on about how much school stuff i have to do. but on this lovely, warm, no-class day, there isn’t really much to complain about. its a wednesday, meaning no classes for me, and majority of the UP population. so i babble..
on the issues of conflict.
there’s so much conflict in our lives today. people may have good intentions all at once, but different means of implementation.. thus conflict is aroused. there is no one solution to conflict. but it is always compromise. it’s like saying “hey come on, meet me halfway here.” now if everybody said that, we’d be living in utopia, if it existed that is.. and since it more often doesn’t happen, one would have to say “all right, if that’s what you want…” but that’s not always a good thing. i’m not saying it’s wrong or anything… it’s just asking too much on the part of that person.. do deprive him/her from expressing their desire and putting it into action. but this way works fine. it’s more often the way things work. that person becomes the one who works to keep the flow of things uninterrupted by a simple conflict. ganun naman palagi yun diba? parang sa mga relationship.. one-sided ang sacrifice but it still works.
how this world revolves i shall never comprehend.
