Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , trackback

i’m a bit drowsy right now. i woke up at around 11 this morning then slept through most of the afternoon. weird. i’m not usually an easy target for mr. sandman.. :P but anyway, i’m just posting this then going to bed. i think.

[thursday]
I stayed in UP quite late last thursday because we had to finish our batch project for CURSOR. Well let’s just say the original plan wasn’t stuck to.. so there. It was past 9:00 or something I realized how late it was and how much more work (we were painting the tambayan a new shade of green) we had left to do. I decided to go home but then again I got worried coz it was already late and I didn’t want to go gallavanting around the campus to get to Vinzon’s hall to get a jeep to the MRT station. And besides, I wasn’t sure whether the MRT would still be open if I got there past 9. (Oh yeah, I LEFT MY PHONE AT HOME, dagnabbit.) So I just had dad fetch me, I had no choice of course. So we just kept on painting.. painting.. painting.. btw, my hands were green after that, and so were certain parts of my outfit..:P We didn’t finish painting everything. We just decided to continue painting the rest the next day. Dad came at around quarter to 11 or something. Nikko, Len, and Joelle hitched a ride with us. We ate at Yellow Cab for a while. Tamang-tama ba naman they close at 12. Blah blah blah.. I got home past 12 already. wow. Langya, that’s the latest I’ve ever stayed in UP.. next to the Eraserfest of course which is an entirely different story. And of all the days ba naman that I would leave my phone at home. grabe.

Now let me kwento what happened on the morning of thursday. shiyet. Why is it that I’m always the target of weird events? More specifically, mga kamanyakan. yak. First it was that mamang pulis person on the MRT.. and last thursday it was the conductor of the bus I rode to school. So here’s the story:

I rode my usual “SM Fairview, Ilalim, Ilalim” bus that day since, of course, there aren’t any other buses that would pass through Commonwealth Avenue and Philcoa. So this particular bus was the type with only one door/entrance located in the front part of the bus. So since the bus was full in the front part, I took a seat in the back part. I would just transfer seats nearer the front when all of them got off somewhere.. matagal pa naman kasi ang bus ride ko. So anyway, most of the people in front got off at Mantrade. But I was still kinda drowsy from waking up early so I decided to just stay where I was. Eto ang freaky:

Lapit si mr. Conductor sabay wink sa akin. YAAAAAAK!!!!! fudge him. :P

So, freaked out, I decided to transfer nearer the front where there were more passengers. Mr. Conductor handed me something. It was a ticket with something written at the back: “GUSTO KITANG MAGING KAIBIGAN”

pakyu pre!! at that point I was at a loss at what to do. Should I get off? Should I scream or something? Ewan!! So I decided to transfer even nearer the front where there were more passengers. Alas, the passengers got off even before we reached Quezon Circle. There were only 2 passengers left on that friggin bus, including me.

Mr. Conductor handed me something else, a receipt that read (in even bigger, bolder letters): “SAKAY KA ULIT PARA PALAGI KANG MAKA-LIBRE. ITO ANG SKEDYUL KO: LUNES, MARTES, BIYERNES DITO SA 1550 NA BUS”

taena mo!! gad. I was super freaking out at this point. He kept looking at me and winking.. shet ang sarap dukutin yung mga mata nya eh grabe!!! When we got to Philcoa, he shouted “Philcoa na nene! UP ka diba?” HOMAYGAD talaga!! potek. He stood at the door. I got friggin scared coz I knew I couldn’t be able to get off the bus without having to pass in front of him. When I got to the door, he HELD MY FRIGGIN ARM!! I shook like mad and wanted to scream but I couldnt.. So I almost jumped off the bus in front of a car that was passing. Gad!! After that I was shaking with a disgusted face.. yak talaga. shiyet.
