I Remember Why I Love Reading April 26, 2006
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , trackbackI visited Thea’s blog the other day.. There I saw “The Horse and His Boy” (Book Three in the Chronicles of Narnia). I finished reading that (for the nth time) quite a long time ago, I think.. but I suddenly had the urge to read it again, for a lack of anything better to do.. :P So yeah, I’m at about half of it.. (darned math exam made me stop reading it).
From “The Horse and His Boy”
“…If you can’t ride, can you fall?”
“I suppose anyone can fall,” said Shasta.
“I mean, can you fall and get up again without crying and mount again and fall again and yet not be afraid of falling?”
I just love reading fiction books and finding the words of the author meaning something besides what it appears to mean. And that’s something that’s changed about my interest in reading lately.. When I was younger I used to enjoy these books for the story.. now all I see is what the writer was trying to say by telling the story. It’s quite enjoyable. But nevertheless, I still enjoy the story very much. Hai.
Well.. yun lang. There’s nothing new in my life right now.. there’s just math and what happens before and after math. Hopefully after summer classes I’ll get to relax and forget about freakin’ math for a few days before school starts again.
’til next time, dear people.
