Where heav’nly-pensive contemplation dwells,
And ever-musing melancholy reigns;
What means this tumult in a vestal’s veins?
Why rove my thoughts beyond this last retreat?
Why feels my heart its long-forgotten heat?
Yet, yet I love! From Abelard it came,
And Eloisa yet must kiss the name.
Dear fatal name! rest ever unreveal’d,
Nor pass these lips in holy silence seal’d.
Hide it, my heart, within that close disguise,
Where mix’d with God’s, his lov’d idea lies:
O write it not, my hand the name appears
Already written wash it out, my tears!
In vain lost Eloisa weeps and prays,
Her heart still dictates, and her hand obeys.

Woke up at around 9am this morning.. But owing to the fact that I slept at around 3am, I didn’t get up ’til around 10. I was supposed to meet Cheka and Philip at 11 at town, but we all got there past 12 already. Anyway.. we went in line to buy tickets to see the Da Vinci Code… the movie I’ve been wanting to watch for soooo long now. To cut a long story short, we didn’t get to watch it. Seems I can’t pass as an 18-year-old. We watched X-Men 3 instead. It was a good movie, but I think disappointment from not being able to watch the Da Vinci Code nabbed me for the most part. After the movie we went around for a while, not having anything specific in mind to do, and because it was raining. When it got a little clearer out we decided to leave before it started to pour again. Cheka went home, while Philip and I went to Ruins. I bought some DVDs.. Nanny McPhee, Date Movie, and Scary Movie 4. We saw Louis there at Ruins.. he was saying something like “Sige, uwi na ako, pawis na ako eh.. ” haha. After a few minutes of tambay at the kainan I went home. I watched Date Movie and Nanny McPhee.. talked on the phone, chatted, downloaded, blogged, snacked.. and all that. And now I’m sleepy.. and still disappointed that I didn’t get to watch the Da Vinci Code. I guess I’ll have to wait for the DVD.. :P sucks. Oh well.

aftermath and 2 years too young May 23, 2006
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , 2commentsyahooooooooooo. Summer Math is finally over. Had our finals this moring. I’m not really sure how I faired but I’m guessing I’d pass or something on that level.. :P hehe.
Not being 18 sucks.
Right now being 16 sucks. I hate the fact that I can’t watch the Da Vinci Code without having to do something sneaky. I haven’t finished reading the book, though. I started it last year, I think, but I didn’t get to finish if for several reasons.. reasons I’d rather not enumerate. Haha.
And another thing.. I’ve wanted to read Paolo Coelho’s “Eleven Minutes” for some time now. When my mom said that she wanted to read it too, I gladly offered to get a copy from AS Bookstore ASAP so that I could also read after she did. And now that she’s done reading it she won’t let me because according to her it’s not for me yet. A few more years, that’s what she says… Waaaaah! I wanna grow up na. now na. Haha..
*edit*
I guess I’m gonna be bummin’ around in the next few weeks before classes begin again. I’m kinda excited to start a new term, though.. a fresh new sem and another chance for me to say “oo na. aayusin ko na talaga this time”.. but then again that’s always how it goes. Hay. I hope I get good classes this time. Not that I didn’t get good ones in the past, I just hope I get profs who are more on the teaching rather than the extra curricular stuff.. I don’t care much for that. I rather enjoyed my Philo11 class last sem.. Although it was quite (quite?? understatement of the century) boring, I learned a lot from it. And though my grade is nothing to brag about (oh, believe me.. haha), I guess I deserved it. Well anyway, the point is, I hope I don’t FAIL anything. and I hope I get a PE, whatever it may be.. :P But I shall not get my hopes up, though.. Better that I prepare for the worst than be left caught off-guard.. (ano daaaw? hahaha! shet, ayan, math kasi.. sumobra.. haha!)
Yun lang.. hai salamat. Makakabawi na rin sa tulog.. :P haha. Happy late summer to me! and you.. and you.. and you.. :P haha! Good night.. :P

Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , 1 comment so farThere it was moving fast in front of me. As the train rushed past into the dark tunnel, I stood there, staring at the strange silhouette in front of me. It wasn’t me. It was the shape I took the form of in the daylight. In that brief moment I felt bliss. Everything was moving, and I was still.
