Dabagyo November 30, 2006
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , 3commentsI’m at home. I’m singing, I’m watching a movie, I’m typing, playing the piano, eating, texting, and oh yeah, breathing.. all at the same time. Laban ka sa multi-tasking skills ko? haha.
Classes were suspended today because a super typhoon was supposed to hit Metro Manila. Apparently it changed direction and is now headed for some soon-to-be-sorry region other than Manila. Thank goodness for misleading weather reports. I was supposed to have a Long exam in Math and a Recit Quiz in Physics today. THANKS TALAGA, LORD, THANK YOU. So now I have a long weekend to set things right.. study for those exams, and EVERYTHING ELSE. Mygally.
But when, oh when will I ever actually start doing stuff before ranting about doing them? haha. It’s actually very funny.
–and yes, I am still very much bitter. Especially after having a little talk with DJ about..stuff. boo.
There’s just a few days to go before Eng’g week. Anticipation is in the air. Forget Christmas, let’s all toss in everything for Eng’g week. =)

Come Together November 25, 2006
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , 1 comment so farmerong gobyerno, may oposisyon, may mga aktibista, mga radikal, mga NPA, iba pang rebelde, andiyan ang masa, mga mayayaman, mga paimportante, mga artista, mga estudyante, mga sporty,
maging sino ka man, ano man relihiyon mo..
galit ka man sa mundo o ano
isa lang ang nakakaaliw na katotohan ang aking napagtanto –

KUNG PILIPINO KA,
“GO MANNY PACQUIAO!” ang sigaw mo.
Sabay sabay tayo.. nagkakaisa. Nakakatuwang isipin na sa gulo ng ating bansa ngayon, mayroon pa ring dahilan upang ang buong sambayanan ay magkaisa sa isang sigaw.
I love it. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. [yuck, patriotic. hahaha]
On the Absurdity of things November 22, 2006
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , 2commentsDo you want to know what is completely absurd?
Well what I find absurd-ridiculous-lacking-any-meaning-that-would- give-purpose-to-life is how you would throw yourself overboard to get something you thought you really, really wanted just to realize in the end that it is A WORTHLESS THING OF FAD. And what’s more is, you find yourself still fighting for what’s yours and wrecking your life over it.. and there’s nothing you can do about it, simply because of the fact that we all guard what’s ours.
Forgive me for this bitter entry because I really really can’t understand these things.. these people.

you wanna know what else is completely FUDGEING ABSURD???LOSING MY VOICE COMPLETELY JUST AS AWITAN PRACTICE HAS GOTTEN SERIOUS. curse you, bad timing + too much talking!! argh.
I am mad at the world right now. But heck, I am still a trifle amused. You wanna know why? Try NOT finding it funny when you’re trying to LAUGH and something like a sawing sound comes out of your poor strained vocal chords. If I could laugh any harder, I would.
And that’s how ridiculous life can get.
The Chamba Factor November 21, 2006
Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , add a commentThere are some things in my life that I am very much thankful for. Somehow I cannot imagine myself in my current life without those things. What would UP life be without CURSOR? without my friends? without my roommates with whom I have grown very close?
Still, I can’t help but wonder.. what if? What if I had gone to another school instead with my highschool friends? What if I had taken up another course? Would I have grown into someone different.. different from the person I have become now?
There’s a million questions running through my mind constantly. More often than I not, I take these as regrets. Somebody with this much regret should be slit in the throat and left to bleed to death. But then you go on thinking.. Maybe this is something one SHOULD think about.. so that I could be able to appreciate whatever life I am living.
I like my life now.. It’s FAAAAR from perfect.. it’s ever FURTHER from happy.. but I am content that at some point in my day I can put on a smiling face and face the world pretending that nothing can bother me.. ever.

I had so much fun laughing today. School has been great.. I have yet to be bombarded with the burden of academic requirements.. although I am starting to feel how they will be piling up pretty soon after all the procrastination I have been doing. Anyway, preparations for Eng’g week are going on.. and I just have to say.. I am beginning to see how much of a big deal Eng’g week is. Everything around the Eng’g building just SCREAMS of Eng’g week. It’s even overpowering what should be the air of christmas.. which is a good thing.. for me at least.
I am enjoying my English 12 (World Literature) class. We haven’t really started taking up any pieces yet.. (we’ll be starting on “The Iliad” soon, though) but I am enjoying having Dr. Jose as my prof. He really knows what he’s talking about.. and much much more. It’s like a general information class disguised as an english class.. and that’s GOOD. I just hope nothing would change that anytime soon. I really really hope. So far, it’s the class that I don’t dread attending. SO FAR. (oh, and CS 32.. unusual? haha.)
So anyway.. after physics class this afternoon, I headed over to the tambayan to attend the Eng’g week briefing for “Eng’g week virgins”. haha. Some of the more experienced CURSOR alumni like Mon and Aydz were there. They shared fun moments from their experiences in the previous Eng’g weeks. After that talk, I am now sincerely excited. I have to admit, before I was just CURIOUS claiming to be EXCITED. So now I really AM excited.
After the briefing thing, a few of us CURSOR people went to Katips to have dinner. We ate at KFC where we had the time of our lives.. laughing our lungs out! I have never laughed that HARD in my life. EVER. Or so I claim to say.. like I do after I have had a really really good time out with friends. We stayed there for more than 2 hours, being very noisy (not to mention very unpolite in our choice of words to say in public. hahaha) in the second floor. Then at around quarter to 10, we decided to leave.. DREW’S pa sana kami kaso hindi rin maganda ang timing… so we just went home. Hindi nga pala ako umuwi ng Las Pinas ngayon.. baka sa Sunday na.. for very VERY frustrating reasons [cut].
We have AWITAN practice tomorrow at 2pm. First time ko mag-AWITAN. coolness.
DRAMA FOR THE REST OF THIS YEAR: Excitement & Nervousness.
Hmm.. what else? Wala. Wala na ako maalala. I shall just cut this here.. I’ll go on with my ranting next time. Goodnight. =) See you sa Eng’g Week. haha. =)
