I just recently discovered Desktopography. I don’t know if you guys have heard of it or seen, but most probably if you’re into digital photography/art, you have.

I who am more of a spectator / appreciator of art rather than actually being the person behind it, find that the mix of nature + vector art or whatever else designers come up with is nothing less than amazing. Hats off to all the great artists out there.

Fleeting. Everything is Fleeting. September 25, 2007

You’re listening to Martina McBride’s song I Love You as you’re taking a drive down a road with rays of sunlight peering through the assorted arrangement of the leaves in the trees by the roadsides. You pop your elbow out of the window, feel the breeze in your hair, and close your eyes for a brief moment. You’ve forgotten where you started your journey from, and couldn’t care less where you’re heading. Everything’s perfect.

Emo-free Update September 22, 2007

You know in how in Nokia and Motorola Cellphones the calendar has that little triangular mark on days you have an appointment or a due task?  I remember Pepoy Ferrer (previous CS Representative) showing me February from his phone’s calendar. There wasn’t one day without that little blue triangle on it. I remember thinking to myself, “Wow, wouldn’t it be interesting to be that busy?” Yes, dear readers, that was what I thought to myself. And it’s amusing that I once welcomed the challenge of being overly busy.

This last week has been, let me see, the 6th circle of hell..being trapped in flaming tombs or whatever’s there. MP Deadlines, exams, Marketing Congress, Cough, Colds, Headaches, and finally, to end my week, a fever.  I haven’t gotten the results of the exam we took last Monday, though, but I have a feeling it isn’t gonna make my fever go away if I do see it. My fever’s a little better considering I stayed up late watching Disturbia.

On the lighter side of things, yes, there is a lighter side, I really enjoyed the late-night “MP-sessions” with my groupmates Joelle, Dan, and pseudo-groupmate Jeune, who so kindly and generously offers a few hours of his time to help us in our Machine Problem. I enjoyed the cups of Cafe Mocha I ordered from Starbucks, Seattle’s, AND Bo’s. Oh and I also enjoyed that morning at Joelle’s apartment where we were supposedly doing our MP but were really just talking, singing, dancing, ordering McDo, and laughing, and laughing, and laughing, and laughing our heads off.

..and.. and.. ohmygoooooosh. The Engineering Marketing Congress has finally come to an end. Finals was yesterday night. I have no freakin idea what happened because I wasn’t there since I was at home sick. But whatever happened, a small part of me is screaming YAHOO! because it’s all over, my being Publicity Head slash taga-gawa ng pub mats at kung anu-ano pang kailangan iprint is aaaaalllllll overrrrr.. but a bigger part of me wants to start the whole thing all over again and prove that I could have done better.. so much better. I just really can’t bring myself to give every ounce of energy in me.. because then I’d have none left to offer the rest of my problems.. the rest of life itself.

-okay sabi ko emo-free-

So there’s 2 more weeks before this sem ends.. not counting Finals week. It’s almost all over and I’m fearing for my acads once again. Can’t help but think I’m not really meant for this sort of thing. I mean, I do have DSPD and I am not a big fan of submitting myself to treatment, whatever treatment that may be.

By the way, I watched “Becoming Jane” the other day, that movie with Anne Hathaway playing Jane Austen and how her real life inspired the story of “Pride and Prejudice”, her most famous literary work. There really was a Mr.Darcy. As usual, I was at the brink of tears at the later part of the movie. There was this part where Mr. Le Froy (or was it her sister? I can’t be sure) asked her what happens to her characters. She said something like.. “they have a happy ending.. all of my characters have a happy ending.” But she was saying it after she came to a bad ending with her love. Quite a sad story. Although I do enjoy sad stories I can somehow sympathize with.

Home. Sick. September 21, 2007

I stayed at home today. Woke up to the worst headache I’ve ever had, and cough nearly as bad as the baddest cough I’ve ever ever had.

It sucks when I can’t go to class because of these reasons. Other reasons mayhaps I shall look upon with delight, but these.. Gaaah. So I stayed in bed all day, but did not sleep. Since it was the Engineering Marketing Congress’ Finals tonight, I had to spend the whole day preparing and finalizing the materials. So, rest, where art thou? I thank Yenyen who so graciously came to rescue last night, and saved me from another headache of different sorts.

My head still hurts like hell and I’ve got loads to do. I find comfort in this passable peace of mind though. It’s as if I’ve gotten a free pass at a few hours of sleep with an implied excuse. But still, waking up to harsh reality (and a terrible headache) is not a pleasant thought.

I miss Mr.Barista from that coffee place. More importantly, I miss the coffee and the people I’m usually there with.. (Hi Dan, Hi Jeune, Hi Joelle.. miss ko na kayo) even though it’s just been a day.

I suddenly have the urge to watch some sad movie. So I can be all emo and cry my fever out.

I was looking through some of my old school things (readings/notebooks/etc) and I came accross this horrid piece of writing that earned me a 1.0. 10/10. That’s what my English 1 teacher gave for this cruelly insincere piece of work, and I can’t help but laugh each time I read it.

Cedie and Safari are two differently branded Cornick products, but still both Cornicks. To any ordinary person craving for Cornicks, the two similarly sized and similarly packaged products would seem the same. There is, however, as everything else in this world, a uniqueness about each. Cedie Cornicks taste salty, the original garlic flavor of Cornicks. In contrast, Safari Cornicks add a tinge of sweet and a hint of spice to the Cornicks. But having different brands and different tastes cannot change the fact that they are both Cornicks, crunchy, salty, oily, and satisfying Cornicks.

Toss me a bowl. I wanna puke.

I wish I could run away.

I wish I could run away from it all.

Excited, Excited, Excited! September 12, 2007

For some strange reason, and besides the feeling of outright lack of sleep and being helplessly sandwiched between mounds of academic requirements and projects, I am excited, and that’s all there is to say.

Except maybe for a few more sentences. In which I will say that I am the proud owner of a miserable life, a handful of great friends, a blue iPod nano, and last but not least, my ever-trusty piano.  For once I’d like to brag about something… anything.  And here’s the bit you’ll envy the most: I…DON’T….CARE….WHAT…..OTHER…..PEOPLE….THINK. Nothing can be more liberating than that, and you can say whatever you want, belittle it as much as you want, but heck, it really is the best thing you can have.. freedom.

…and a cup of Starbuck’s cafe mocha. :P

…or a million Dollars… but that’s just reaching for the stars.
