The Soup Principle & More November 24, 2007

The Soup Principle
Everything’s just like a bowl of vegetable soup. It doesn’t matter how much you don’t like onions. The question is, do you like the overall taste of vegetable soup?
I’ve had this belief for quite some time already, I just wanted to share the nice way Mr. Lafferty had stated it. See for me, it’s been the Macaroni Salad Principle. I do not like pineapples. I would take any other fruit over pineapples anyday (except for guava.. and those ridiculously unfamiliar fruits you would curse me for not knowing). But my mom makes Macaroni Salad with loads of pineapples and I would just be working in vain taking all of the pineapple tidbits out.
It amazes me, however, that I have never come to dislike mom’s Macaroni Salad. In fact, it’s one of my favorite salads ever, and I don’t think I will ever get tired of eating it even if I had it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
…If you’re getting what I’m trying to say.
You know what they say.. “Makulay ang buhay sa sinabawang gulay.” demn.
I haven’t blogged for a relatively long time period. It’s because a lot’s been happening here at home that I’ve been finding it hard to cope with. Add that to daily Awitan practices that go past 10PM, and me getting home past midnight… and you have the most conducive venue for slacking off and cracking under pressure.
Oh! And newsflash!
I’m going to be moving in with BFFL Joelle next week! Hindi na ulit ako mag-uuwian. =/ As to whether that’s good news, we shall see. Slacking must not be an option (as my previous dorm experience has taught me). Haha.
Yun lang.
Sigh. I am still so confused right now. Grr.
