Boredom is Misleading December 27, 2007

Despite the fact that I have so much to do, I am bored.
And after bouts of finding things to do over the internet.. like engaging myself in kiddie sites like my Neopets account, which I’ve long since thought I’d abandoned, I have come to the bitter conclusion that it is boredom that is the very cause of complications in life.
Boredom gives a person time to think. Although that may be the understatement of the millenium. Boredom gets you to over analyze things that don’t need much analysis at all. Like the fact that you don’t have any gimmik at that present time may lead you to think your friends have better lives to live and you’re just a slump sitting at home reflecting on the possibilities for the day. And there, I have just revealed my present thoughts. But that thought didn’t linger for very long since I have now busied myself once again with those tasks I have long since put off. And never to worry, at this very moment I have taken a friend up on a gimik for tonight. (Amazing how instantaneously prayers seem to be answered)
Boredom gets you thinking you have nothing productive to do in your life. Which then leads you to take up on offers for busying yourself. Like volunteering for extra work which you would then discover, complicates your life so much more than it already is.
Boredom is that fleeting moment when laziness overpowers you and though in truth there are available tasks, you confine yourself to thinking the world has conspired to prevent you from having fun.
And last of all.. boredom gets you typing nonsensical entries like this one.
When in fact, I have begun on a new year’s theme: BAWI time. I have had a lot of mishaps in my academics and other duties before the Christmas vacation began, and it is time to regain control over my life. BAWI time.
But let’s not count this blogging time, shall we?

REASONS WHY MY CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR ROCKED/SUCKED:
1. There was soooo much more food this year.
We usually have a lot of food prepared during Christmas day because some relatives come over to celebrate with us.. but this was just an overload! =) Well, maybe it was just that every single dish was one of my favorites ever so I just had to indulge! *Heaven* I know I’ll feel sorry about this when I wear my fit-blouses, but hey! It’s Christmas!
2. All the digital cameras in this house got busted so goodbye to picture-taking galore.
Every single year, my mom makes my sister and I pose in front of her Christmas decorations for picture-taking. And every single year, we turn out to be the background, with her Christmas tree hogging the spotlight. Welp, this year, it was just me and my sis’s camphones galore and I loved it! Although I do think our Christmas Album will be missing our wonderful shots this year. (more…)

So here I am at that point in time where it’s been to long since my last detailed blog post, too much has happened, and I don’t know where to start writing anymore.
Eng’g Week 2007 is finally over. It’s been CRAZY, FUN, and SURREAL. I want so much to impart on this blog how utterly wonderful and exciting Eng’g Week is, but I will never be able to do it justice if I put it down in words. Sorry na lang kung hindi ka UP Eng’g. Ahaha. Just kidding. Actually, the entire UP gets a little surreal during December. Lantern parade, stalls around the Acad Oval, people scattered in the streets even late at night at the sunken garden, just enjoying the pre-Christmas chilly air. I enjoyed walking the fairly long walk to Vinzons’ Hall after late meetings at Eng’g.. nothing like that cool breeze in your face and the tranquil feel of a carless acad oval, and seeing people lying down on the grass in the sunken garden, staring at the stars.
What else. Ah yes. As usual, since Eng’g Week and December has been THAT exciting, acads = ? Ha. I will have to face reality and make up A LOT next year…
“Next year.”… it’s so near, and yet I am not ready to face it yet. I don’t wanna let go of my 2007… it’s been rocky, dissapointing, exciting, breaking, uplifting, and wonderful all in one year.
And lastly, I just wanna say.. not being online 24/7 sucks. Haha. We’ll have DSL in the apartment soon enough. Wee.
Coming Soon……NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS….. that never seem to stick. Haha. Abangan. =)

But I can’t NOT write about my teeth because they hurt so bad ALL the time. And how can you NOT think about something that causes so much hurt ALL the time?

- I moved in to an apartment in Katipunan where Joelle had already been staying + another roommate who I have yet to be properly introduced to seeing as we are rarely in the room at the same time.
- Been busy with practice. I sing. I do.
- I know nothing of CS 130 topics and we already have an exam next week [my goodness, this early].
- I am about to crash from all the other extra curricular stuff I’m trying to balance along with a very confused mind set recently.
- My teeth hurt. Again. Freakin dentist.
- I want to go swimming.
- I sound bitter. Or passive. Or totally weird right now. Take your pick.
- I am not looking forward to Christmas.
- Fast food has recently dominated my daily diet. Home-cooked meals are now a rare blessing.
- I sat down in front of my piano this morning. And couldn’t find it in me to play.
- Went to starbucks this afternoon and bought myself 2 coffees + 1 toffee nut latte for my sister. I want that planner, even if I thought it was bogus last year.
- I am weirding myself out. See #7.
- Have not done my laundry for this week. The washing machine has missed my very eccentric laundry methods.
- I am a leggings person now. Just because I forgot to pack more than 2 pairs of jeans in my wardrobe last week.
- I have not been to glorietta for the longest time. And I feel very nostalgic about it.
Can I be any more random?..
Ha. The list goes on. But this time, forget the numbers.
- I love my European Languages 50 class. It’s proving to be the most interesting class I am taking up this semester.
- Geog 1.. is.. okay, I guess.
- Taking a CS 145 class in a 7AM timeslot is taking its toll on my punctuality.
- My umbrella’s missing. It was broken at first.. and then now it’s missing. <<?
- I wore a bikini top under my shirt yesterday. Because. Er. Just because.
- I miss pigging out on chocolates. And ice cream.
- I haven’t watched Enchanted yet.
- Fought with ______ again.
- I go MIA suddenly for reasons I cannot explain to people just because
- Had a sudden outburst of selfrighteousness to a figure of authority. Though just through text messages. And I am seriously regretting it now. Now I think he’d wanna kill me the next time we see each other.
- Life is unfair.
Have I missed anything?
I guess that’s it for now. There’s always a next post to fix my thoughts in.
