A Different Christmas December 25, 2007

Merry Christmas, Everybody! =)
REASONS WHY MY CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR ROCKED/SUCKED:
1. There was soooo much more food this year.
We usually have a lot of food prepared during Christmas day because some relatives come over to celebrate with us.. but this was just an overload! =) Well, maybe it was just that every single dish was one of my favorites ever so I just had to indulge! *Heaven* I know I’ll feel sorry about this when I wear my fit-blouses, but hey! It’s Christmas!
2. All the digital cameras in this house got busted so goodbye to picture-taking galore.
Every single year, my mom makes my sister and I pose in front of her Christmas decorations for picture-taking. And every single year, we turn out to be the background, with her Christmas tree hogging the spotlight. Welp, this year, it was just me and my sis’s camphones galore and I loved it! Although I do think our Christmas Album will be missing our wonderful shots this year.
3. My mom has finally quit trying to make me wear awfully ruffled and kiddy OR really revealing RED dresses for the sake of having Christmas attire on.
Well I guess that’s self-explanatory enough. =)
4. ….Er, just because… *wink* Oh, Happiness is like a BIG WARM CHRISTMAS COOKIE! Mmm.. =)
5. My aunt did not give me perfume this year.
Although she still gave me a wallet.. haha.. every single year, a wallet + something. And this year, that something was BLACK, LACEY LINGERIE! Good grief. I’m 18, but I’m not THAT mature yet! Haha. Couldn’t help but choke back a laugh that would have been a bit too insulting for my very thoughtful aunt.
6. I still can’t believe #5.
7. This year, instead of video-taping the gift-opening festivities (which we haven’t done in YEARS), my father decides to PLAY Home Videos on his WIDE-SCREEN TV.
I had to hide in my room for HOURS from embarrassment due to this one. My relatives going “Uuuuy! Ang taba taba ni Mayee!” and my favorite.. my aunt calling me from the living room, “MAYEE! WATCH THIS! IT’S THE ONE WHERE YOU FELL INTO A HUGE HOLE IN THE PARK!”. Good Golly. Oh wait, that wasn’t my favorite.. my favorite was the one where my sister and I put on a talent show (with an entrance fee of P50.00) and freaking DANCED THE MACARENA (among others) and sang with me playing the yukelele. *Sigh*
AND THE BEST AMONG THE BEST REASONS WHY THIS CHRISTMAS WON’T EVER BE FORGOTTEN:
8. I have an MP due tomorrow, December 26, which has essentially ruined my chance at rest and happiness this Christmas.
Row Echelon Matrices anyone? And oh yeah, MERRY CHRISTMAS! New Year’s just around the corner too! :D
