Funday Sunday Dance-day January 20, 2008

Posted by Mayee in : Daily Babble , trackback

Woke up late today, as usual. Ate lunch as a substitute for breakfast. Despite countless efforts of setting my mind to wake up early on Sunday so that I could go grocery shopping with my mom… well let’s just say it has never happened.

At around 12, my cousins and my aunt came over after attending Sunday mass. Ate Ann wanted some company because she was going to buy herself a LAPTOP after months and months of canvassing for the perfect one. And since by the time they got here I was still a disheveled mess right out of bed, I took a quick bath off we went to Park Square 1, with my aunt, my dad, and my sister.

Laptops are a funny thing to purchase. You buy one now and in a snap you immediately regret it because something better has come out.. or you find some kinks in the one you got. Although that wouldn’t be true if you got yourself one of those laptops that make people around you go oooh at the sight of it.

I have no idea why I’m blogging about laptops. So on to the rest of the days events!

After our quick stop at [I freaking forgot the name of the shop], my sister says she wants to see “Sweeney Todd” or some movie. Since it was sort of crowded at Park Square, we figured there’d be even MORE people at Glorietta or Greenbelt (and it was such a long walk away, I guess) my dad suggested we watch at Walter Mart. Honestly, I cringed when he mentioned the place. I haven’t been there before, and I just see it when the shuttle I ride home passes by it, but it really isn’t one of the more popular malls (at least to ME). Plus, I have a thing for unfamiliar places.. I don’t like them. I don’t like them at all. But what the heck.. I wouldn’t get lost or anything.. so hooray, a new place to venture!

We ended up watching “Alvin and the Chipmunks” because it had the least waiting time before the next screening. The movie was fun. I actually enjoyed it, thanks to the Theodore, the cutest furball I have ever seen (next to Puss in Boots from Shrek).

After the movie, we ate at Pancake House. I never usually order coffee as my drink when dining in these places, but this afternoon was an exception.. because although I couldn’t go without drinks, I was freezing my butt off from the cold of Walter Mart so I couldn’t very much order an Iced Tea.

[Seriously, these blogs of mine are either the sappiest or the most superficial entries ever. I can never get anywhere in between]

When we had finished our [expensive] snacks (Personally I think Pancake House overcharges for their food), we went home so that Daddy could fix up Ate Ann’s new Lenovo laptop.. installing MS Office and all that.

So while they were all hung up on hardware, the rest of us (my aunt, my sister, etc) were dancing! My aunt asked me to put on some ballroom music so that she could dance to it.. and we ended up boogeying to the boogiest beats from the disco hits I had on my laptop.. not to mention good ol’ 70s and 80s funky OPM. I loved it! We were all giggling from how funky we were dancing. I guess crazy moves run in the family. =)

I miss dancing.. I wish I could go back in time and reminisce those days where the highlight of my academic year was dancing.. dancing in PE, cheering, dancing in class performances.. I love dancing. <3
