PEOPLE ARE STUPID.
This is a fact of life. If it weren’t, then we’d have no problems whatsoever in this society we call the human race. Still, there are some things that lie in the zone of Common Sense. If you’ve misplaced your common sense somehow then woe is you, my friend, woe is you.
PEOPLE ARE NOT BORN GOOD LIARS.
They perfect this skill through practice. I know one or two people who can say an entire story without even flinching. To them I say that you have mastered an art beyond moral limitations. You have successfully erased your conscience from your conscious being. I applaud you.
SOME PEOPLE ARE BORN GOOD READERS.
I’m not one of these people. I was not born a good reader. By good reader, I mean a reader of EVERYTHING. I mean someone who can read the nuts and bolts clinking and revolving in another person’s head as if it were plainly written on paper. I wasn’t born one of them. I JUST AM. And it is a curse more than it is a gift.
DECISIONS CUT THE PATH OF ONE’S LIFE
There is no such thing as destiny. People encounter crossroads. People choose a path. And there’s no telling what the other yellow-brick road would’ve led to. You may argue that it’s destiny that tells you which path to follow.. well, sometimes they just forgot to put signboards up, and people mess up. You have the next intersection to get back on track with.
CRAZY PEOPLE EXIST.
And they are closer than you think.
MUSIC SAVES LIVES.
Let’s just say life would be fudged up if you couldn’t turn the radio on and hear an uplifting tune to brighten up your day. Natalie Cole has never failed to etch a smile on my face. Plus, music = dance, so there. :)
PEOPLE GET SAD SOMETIMES.
For no reason at all (or for reasons unacceptable). But then your friends show up and wake you right up in the middle of the night and save you from that nightmare. I love you, friends. :)
A SEVEN-HOUR EXAM IS JUST.. CRAP.
Here’s where I narrate the very nice day I just had. Or not. Well I just had an exam today in CS 130 (..it’s math!). We were in the lecture hall for over seven exhausting hours, squeezing our brains out for the very last drop of intellect we could juice out. It’s weird that the very first thing I thought when I passed my paper and left the lecture hall was
Amazing, I didn’t talk for seven straight hours. Hello, vocal chords!
There weren’t any Katipunan Jeepneys inside UP anymore by the time we’d finished with the exam so we walked to the terminal outside UP (near Vinzons).
..ang lamig.
I’ve been taking a lot of nighttime strolls lately. And it’s my new favorite thing to do. Although I recall around a year ago, I went through the same phase. February seems to be the time of year where I love the nightlife.
(..to be continued in my next entry)
and last but not the least:
LIFE IS GOOD IF YOU SMILE. :)
