The street lamps are out, and there’s nothing but the soft yellow glow from the houses around to light your way. A sudden gust of cold air breezes through your hair. You stop for a moment and close your eyes, trying to breathe in as much of it as you can. The soft rustle of the leaves in the trees couldn’t be louder.. couldn’t be more magestic.
..and you never want to start walking again.

The Return of Osi April 13, 2008

Osi’s back in Pinas! But he’s just here ’til next week, which is sad, then he’s going back to Australia. We had a reunion at Juancho’s place last night. Swimming-inuman as usual. :) Na-miss ko na talaga silang lahat. It was sad that we weren’t complete though. Some weren’t able to come. But I guess attendance (if you can call it that) had a high turn-out last night so hooray for that!
I spent the night there with a few other friends. At around 3AM we even ordered a pizza from Yellow Cab. That new 24 hour branch really is the best thing that’s happened to this place in a long time. Haha. We swam til early dawn (or until we couldn’t take the cold, and the alcohol-induced drowsiness). Then the SIX of us all crashed in ONE bed.. talk about siksikan. After less than a couple of hours of good sleep, we were all up and about. Clauds, Gon, and I headed to Starbucks for some breakfast and caffeeeiiine. We ended up catching up on kwentuhan for a couple of hours, and it was around 11AM already when I got home.
And now I am currently faced with a HUGE problem. I really really won’t be able to sleep because of this.. :( (more…)
Opportunities April 8, 2008

I’ve been feeling like I’ve let a lot of opportunities pass lately… The opportunity to be good at schoolwork, the opportunity to excel at something.. But I’ve also done a lot of things I never would have thought I was capable of… and it’s a bit mixed up for me right now. I guess the bottom line is that I’m surprising myself.. in both a good and a bad way, if that’s at all possible.
They all say “it’s never too late”. But the truth is, if you let something pass by you.. you can never ever get that same shot again. But life gives you a whole new set of open doors. You just have to pick which one you think would compensate for everything you let pass… and hope to high heavens it does.

What I learned today: The world is my oyster. I can do with it what I please. If you don’t get a jolt of positive energy from reading that like I did, then my friend, you are of a very sad disposition. [Even if I don’t really know what oysters have to do with anything. I don’t even like oysters.]
